Before opening his own tax consulting practice in 1984, Jack spent 11 years with the IRS as a Revenue Officer, Group Manager of Processing and Insolvency, and Senior Technical Advisor. Jack was a member of the IRS Task Force that rewrote the Internal Revenue Manual on Bankruptcy and Insolvency.

 

Jack serves on the board of numerous businesses in western New York and is an active investor in local businesses. He is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the New York State Society of Enrolled Agents. Jack obtained his degree from Canisius College and is an Enrolled Agent licensed to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.

Jennifer O’Neill, EA, MBA

President & Enrolled Agent

 


Jennifer is an Enrolled Agent licensed to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Jennifer obtained her MBA from Canisius College and her BA in Business from Boston University and is the President of IRS Help. In addition to her leadership duties, Jennifer is the bankruptcy research coordinator for IRS Help Inc.’s bankruptcy division and is responsible for finding value in the assets of bankrupt companies and individuals. 

Jennifer serves as a subject matter expert advising taxpayers in controversies before federal and state tax authorities and has worked with several companies developing business plans and designing financial strategies.  She also has extensive knowledge in relation to the CARES Act and helping taxpayers utilize all the credits and benefits that are currently available to them and their businesses, especially in relation to the Employee Retention Credit. In addition to helping taxpayers with bankruptcy and tax issues, Jennifer also holds her life and health insurance license through the State of NY.

Jennifer serves on the board of several non-profits in the Western New York area and is very involved in fundraising and local charities throughout the area.  Most recently she was awarded the 40 under 40 by Buffalo Business First for her work as a young professional in Buffalo, NY, and throughout the community.

Sandee Strachan

Sandee is Vice President of Operations of the Buffalo Headquarters. She serves as the supervisor for IRS Help Regional Managers in outlying areas and holds responsibility for overseeing the operations of the Buffalo headquarters. Sandee has more than thirty years of management, accounting, and client representation experience. She studied Economics and Finance at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Keith Carlson, EA

Keith is a Research & Acquisitions Manager working with businesses and individuals with their tax and financial problems both in and outside of bankruptcy.  Keith also oversees the day-to-day activities as a manager of two companies acquired through chapter 11 bankruptcies. Patrick McKee

Director of Business Development


With over 20 years of experience developing and cultivating relationships with business owners across the country, Patrick serves as the Director of Business Development for the firm.

Patrick’s specialties include alternative financing for businesses including factoring and asset-based lending.  He has worked with startups, mature companies as well as businesses that are in a turnaround situation to help them with their working capital needs and strategic planning.

Ralph spent 40 years with the Internal Revenue Service as a Revenue Officer, Offer in Compromise Examining Specialist, and Settlement Officer in Appeals. He has extensive experience with the Offer in Compromise program. Ralph manages the company’s Rochester office.

Kathleen Fitzpatrick is a former employee of the Internal Revenue Service.  For nine years at the IRS, she resolved taxpayer issues while working in the Accounts Unit, Customer Service, and the Examination Unit.  Kathleen later moved to the Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS), an independent organization within the IRS that resolves tax problems and recommends changes to Congress through the  Annual Report to Congress.

During her twenty years at TAS, Kathleen rose through the ranks to become the Local Taxpayer Advocate (LTA) in Atlanta Georgia.  Kathleen is an Enrolled Agent.  Kathleen was a finalist as IRS Employee of the Year and was recognized as the EEO Employee of the Year for the IRS Upstate New York District.

When not working to resolve tax controversies, Kathleen is an avid reader and gardener.  She is a past volunteer with the Georgia Farmworker Project and is a community volunteer with Marietta City High School.
